What Changed at Bandwango in 2025 — And What’s Next

A lot has changed inside Bandwango over the past year. If you haven’t logged in recently, Experience Builder looks and works very differently than it did before. We’ve rolled out a major evolution of the platform designed to give partners more control, more flexibility, and more measurable engagement. In short, the tools available today go far beyond what was possible even a year ago.

A Fully Refreshed Experience Builder (2.0)

We rolled out a cleaner, more intuitive interface designed to make pass creation faster and easier. The layout is streamlined, settings are centralized, and key tools are now built directly into your dashboard.

This wasn’t just a visual update. It was a structural one, built to give you more control without relying on our team for routine updates.

More Control Over Engagement

You can now:

  • Create multiple check-ins per venue to drive repeat visits or specific behaviors
  • Add blackout dates to manage availability around holidays and peak times
  • Embed audio or video directly into passes or venues
  • Show clear max redemption counts to improve user experience

Together, these updates give you more direct control over how your passes function and how engagement is tracked. Features that were previously handled by the Bandwango team can now be managed directly in your dashboard, allowing you to structure check-ins, control availability, embed media, and verify redemptions on your own – faster, and with clearer visibility into participation.

A New Pass Type: Itinerary Passes

We introduced a new itinerary pass, giving you the ability to create more guided, curated experiences. Instead of a simple list of stops, you can now build structured, mobile-friendly itineraries that lead participants through a recommended journey.

New Core Features

These additions give you more ways to drive participation, encourage sharing, and reduce friction for new users.

  • QR Code Redemptions: Add secure, scannable redemption options using GPS, PIN, or QR for coupons and check-ins.
  • Quizzes for Check-Ins: Add trivia or challenges that unlock points or prizes, great for events and campaigns.
  • Social Sharing + Referral Points: Encourage passholders to share their pass and get rewarded, fueling organic growth.
  • Unregistered Pass Links: Let users access passes instantly without needing to fill out a form – a perfect entry point for campaigns.

Built-In Audience & Messaging Tools

We also introduced entirely new dashboard sections focused on audience visibility and outreach:

  • Segments: Group passholders by behavior, redemptions, or custom triggers
  • Customers: View and export passholder data in one place
  • Messaging: Send targeted emails, texts, or in-pass messages directly from the platform, with performance reporting
  • Promotions: Comp or discount paid passes for specific campaigns or audiences

With built-in segments, customer visibility, and direct messaging with performance reporting, you can target the right audiences and see exactly how your outreach performs. And it’s all in one place, so you can take control without leaving Experience Builder.

More Innovation in 2026

Bandwango today is more flexible, more self-serve, and more focused on measurable engagement than it was a year ago, and we’re not slowing down. In 2026, we’re continuing to invest in the platform in ways that make launching, managing, and growing your experiences even more powerful.
