Experience Builder 2.0 Is Here
This one’s big. We’ve officially rolled out the next evolution of Experience Builder: the platform where our partners build and manage their digital passes. The new version features a cleaner, faster, and more intuitive interface that makes pass creation easier than ever before.
We’ve streamlined layouts, added smart workflows, and refreshed different sections, so you can spend less time managing passes and more time making an impact. New sections give you deeper insight and control, opening up fresh ways to market, communicate, and optimize.
If it’s been a while since you’ve used Experience Builder, or you’re used to our old Bandwango backend, you’ll be amazed at how far it’s come.

A New Pass Type: The Itinerary Pass
You've asked, and we delivered.
The new Itinerary Pass is built for destinations that want to guide visitors through curated experiences without gamification. Think of it as a digital travel guide: a list of can’t-miss spots, themed tours, or personalized recommendations, all presented in an easy, clean format (with no points or check-ins required).
It’s perfect for cultural trails, scenic drives, or visitor guides that are focused on storytelling and exploration, rather than redemptions or rewards.
Game-Changing New Features
We’ve added some major functionality to the platform that are all available directly in Experience Builder. These updates make it easier to reach your audience, drive engagement, and offer passes with a lasting impact.
- QR Code Redemptions: Add secure, scannable redemption options using GPS, PIN, or QR for coupons and check-ins.
- Quizzes for Check-Ins: Add trivia or challenges that unlock points or prizes, great for events and campaigns.
- Social Sharing + Referral Points: Encourage passholders to share their pass and get rewarded, fueling organic growth.
- Unregistered Pass Links: Let users access passes instantly without needing to fill out a form — a perfect entry point for campaigns.
More Tools to Make Your Life Easier
In addition to the big-ticket updates, we’ve introduced a number of enhancements that streamline your day-to-day:
- Real-time map pin updates show passholders where they’ve already visited.
- Mass QR code and PIN downloads make merchant onboarding more efficient.
- Multiple check-ins per venue let you combine standard, action-based, and bonus check-ins to drive engagement (see how).
- Add blackout dates to control when products can be redeemed by setting specific blackout dates and times – perfect for managing availability around holidays, events, or peak periods (see how).
- Embed audio and video directly into venues or the pass itself to help bring your content to life (see how).
- New max redemption UI shows passholders how many redemptions they have left on limited-use passes for a smoother experience (see how).
- Add an extra layer of control with new coupon redemptions methods through GPS, PIN, or QR code verification (see how).
- Expired passes auto-clear from mobile devices — no manual cleanup needed.
