Integrating Bandwango Passes Into Websites

The 3-click rule states that a user of a website should be able to find any information with no more than three mouse clicks. We’re weighing in on this question today and introducing you to Bandwango’s solution to this problem: a feature that allows for easy integrating of Bandwango passes into websites – from listing pages to landing pages – via simple HTML code snippets.

Previously, Bandwango destination passes lived on their own subdomain site. Our clients pushed locals and visitors to these sites via innovative linking strategies, well placed widgets and spectacularly written content. However, with the newest Bandwango feature, our clients can create a more seamless transition from content page to pass download or purchase with the ease of a “paste” command.

How Integrating Bandwango Passes onto Websites Works

Our developers have pulled HTML code from the Bandwango platform that is CMS agnostic, meaning clients of all web platforms can integrate Bandwango passes easily into their website. Whether the site is built on Simpleview, Tempest, WordPress or a different host altogether, DMOs will be able to copy a segment of code from the provided document and paste it into the website’s backend.

Clients are able to choose which section of their Bandwango pass page they want to inject into the site including header images, product cards and venue descriptions.

There is also the option to inject purchase or download buttons into pages without the bulky product cards being present.

How It Looks

Check out how these elements appear with our clients:

This feature has been piloted out to our clients in the last few months. Destinations can still choose to direct traffic to their subdomain page, but most of our clients have worked closely with the Bandwango team to streamline their website and include Bandwango elements.

Integrating Bandwango passes into websites via injected elements can provide a quick and easy shortcut to building out landing pages, placing buttons on listing pages, enhancing editorial content and more. This approach has been shown to improve conversion rates, bounce rates and time on site.

The examples in this blog show just how different destinations are. The goals of the organizations we work with may vary, but this feature allows for more flexibility for our clients. Bandwango’s goal with the new inject HTML feature is to create a streamlined way for people to find, buy and explore without ever having to leave a DMO’s website.

So, do we believe in the 3-click rule? We don’t need to. We found a way to do everything with just one.
